A Light In The Dark is one of the films we are most proud of. Starting February 2020, it has been raking in awards in the film festival circuit! Thus far, it has been recognized for its outstanding sound design, cast, cinematography, and story. With 15 awards, the film is our most acclaimed yet.

Wildcat Rebellion Studios is an award-winning production company based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Led by William Blackwell Kinney, Nora Barnard, and Adam Swanson, this group has been making short films since 2014. With every production, our films have grown in quality over the past few years.

A LIGHT IN THE DARK / 2019

Refusing to accept the reality of the cryptic disappearance of his older brother, a young boy sets out to uncover a mystery—only to discover a truth deeper and darker than he could have imagined.

This short film is a continuation of the studio's 88th Dimension Anthology Series and we consider it to be one of our best works to date. Thus far, it has raked in several Official Selections (including two international selections) and 15 awards, including: Best Sound Design (3x), Best Sci-Fi Short (5x), Best Cinematography, Best Narrative, Best-In-Fest, Best Young Actor (2x), Best Young Filmmaker, and Best Sound Mixing.

CAMPFIRE BAY RESORT PROMO / 2018

Located on the beautiful Fish Trap Lake in Cushing, MN, Campfire Bay Resort has been a resort destination for generations of families. Whether looking to have fun swimming, fishing, boating, or simply relaxing, owners Brian and Heather have you covered! The lake itself has a long history as a great fishing lake, with an incredible amount of structure and enough open space for recreational boating as well.

We created this short promotional film for Campfire Bay Resort in 2018 It was our first professional film gig and the resort currently uses the film as an online advertisement. Additionally, it received the Best Cinematography and Best Documentary awards at the EDU Film Festival in 2019, and it screened at the Duluth-Superior Film Festival shortly after.

IT'S THE STORY THAT MATTERS / 2018

Anges Kampmeier, a hip, scarf-bearing film director, plans to shoot her Hollywood blockbuster "The Race of Life" with all the best actors and equipment one-gazillion dollars can buy. However, brilliant as her idea is, her views on what good filmmaking is are flawed, and she will have to find out for herself what the core of a compelling film really is...

We made this short film in association with Juice Media, a youth film collective, where it subsequently premiered in 2018. It went on to be screened at the Oregon Cinema Arts Film Festival in early 2019.

CRYPTIC CLOSET / 2018

When a boy's family moves into their new home, he soon stumbles across a mysterious closet with sinister intentions...

We made this short film for the Film Riot & Filmstro 1-Minute Short Film Contest in 2017. Although it did not win the contest, it was later selected for the EDU Film Festival where it was nominated for the Best Narrative and Best In Fest awards.
